Almost. I almost didn’t push the shutter release. I was almost hit by a motorcycle when I took this picture.
The object was not attractive and the background was too crowded. I wasn’t also quite close to the object as a heavy road separating the object and myself.
Finally I pushed the button and got this picture. It was not quite an attractive object at least for me as Indonesian. You can find Delman, how this horse cart is called by Indonesians, almost everywhere, except Jakarta, the Capital.
However, the idea to show people about one alternative transportation in Bali came across my mind. It may be useful for someone who has planned to come to the island and is wondering what transportation could be used to explore. Yes, of course there is taxi or motorcycle taxi, and now application based transportation but they are not unique and too fast.
This old transportation using the power of horse to drag it will provide quite unique experience. It is slow, indeed, but it provides you more time to enjoy your trip. You are in vacation not business trip, so you should relax and leave the hustle bustle of business.
It is quite nice.
Just one tip before using, be a negotiator as you must bargain with the coachman.
